Hen Rehoming
Thank you for giving our hens a retirement home, but rest assured they will probably lay very well into their retirement.
You will need a suitable box/crate to collect them in, if your boxes are not large or well ventilated enough then we may be unable to give you all of the hens you have reserved. You will need a fox proof hen hut at home. We have our own milled hen ration, but you can feed them to any layer mash or pellets, they will soon adapt. You may find they moult soon after arriving at their new home, don't worry, the feathers will grow back and they should start laying again. It is just the shock of the changing environment for them and lower light levels.
Hens are £2.50 each, either pay by cash on the day for orders of 9 or less, for reservations of 10 or more, please pay by BACS to Cornhill Farm sort code 309700 account number 01031972 ref your surname and HENS. We have had to start doing this as unfortunately too many people were reserving hens and then not coming to collect them, meaning other people were missing out.
